What we look for
We sell jewelry, handbags, plus gifts that are generally in the women's accessories category. We like colorful and a bit unusual designs. Products MUST stand out as being different from any other designer's work we already represent. Perhaps your work involves a proprietary process, unusual material, unique construction method, incorporates a highly skilled task that others cannot duplicate? Simple construction or assemblage of components purchased from others (like beading a necklace) is not really what we look for...but if you made the featured components and they look like none we've seen before, that might work.We are in the business of selling, so we need work that sells. Really!! If you have a proven market, strong market identity, that helps. If you have tested your designs and pricing, that helps. Our primary marketing method is on the Internet, we sell through our website. Your product MUST have visual appeal and have features that do not require touching and exploring in person. |
What to submit and how
If you have a website, or your work is shown on someone else's website, email us a link to that (see Contact Us page). If you have photos, attach 1-2 to an email.Emailing photos...BE SURE you have images that are no larger than 600 pixels across, and no more than 100kb in file size. If you send larger files, or send more than 2 images, we will be VERY IRRITATED at clogged email for long downloads, and you will start off in a negative place. Pictures that are too large for a computer screen...well we do not want to scroll around trying to figure out what it is! If you exhibit your work at large wholesale Trade Shows we might be attending, or you have a Sales Representative in Southern Nevada, let us know. Mailing information...we will not return any samples or photos or brochures that are sent to us in the mail. We do not always look at everything that comes in, but really try to! And then we toss out what does not interest us, keep a pile to consider again. You can follow up by email if you'd like...but if you knock our socks off in the mailing, we'll get in touch with you! Include a written explanation of what it is you make, how it is made, what makes it stand out from other designers. Be sure to point out components or techniques that are proprietary, maybe how many years it took for you to master this unique skill or process. Tell us about your WHOLESALE prices. If you have tested products with retail prices, let us know what those prices are too. At some point, not until we have expressed interest, we will need to know all your policies about minimum orders, shipping costs, payment options, returns, repairs, exchanges, seasonal updates, etc. Describe products in your photos...include dimensions, if appropriate, so we get an idea of the scale of the work. You might tell us where else your work is sold, how long you have been selling it. |
Things to avoid (try not to do this)
Retail website...if you have a website, and you engage in e-commerce, we will possibly not be interested in making a purchase. We do not wish to compete with a designer directly on the Internet, especially if you are selling direct to the public at a price that we could not offer.Email images...send only 1-2 photos attached to an email (read about that above), and be sure they are not large and take long to download. Image or pricing restrictions...if you have a product that you do not wish to be shown on the Internet, or you wish to control pricing, then we might not be a good fit. Work we definitely are not interested in...if you are a gemstone dealer, bead dealer, clothing manufacturer, watch maker, overseas factory jewelry representative...these are products we definitely are not interested in purchasing. We also are not an "art gallery" per se, so do not look at paintings or bronzes. |
Our Response
Okay, the sad fact is, we get many emails from artists who would like to sell to us, lots of them almost every day. The Internet is great!!! But that means we do not always respond, or not in a timely manner. We do take time to look at website links and photos, because we are always interested in what designers are making!!! Trust us...if your work is of interest, we will be in touch with questions.
