This is a rich style of earthenware pottery by Jon and Barbara Mehr. Some pieces have red clay exposed with partial glazes in deep blue or green. Other pieces have mirror-like glazes in dark browns and black on porcelain, a style called "Tenmoku". All pieces are individually thrown on the potter's wheel in Northern California, are lead-free, and are totally watertight/functional.
