The medium used for Judy Dunn's jewelry is polymer clay, which she started to explore in 2003. Explore is the key word, because she is largely self-taught and inspired by nature and other artforms. The colored clay is patterned and layered in Shibori series to create the subtle damask fabric appearance, organic shapes are simple and elegant. All handcrafted in her Massachussetts studio.
Judy Dunn has been included in the book Polymer Clay Color Inspirations by Lindly Haunani and Maggie Maggio, published in numerous magazines such as Bead and Button, and received many awards such as Niche Finalist 2009.
